President Isaias, whose tour included an inspection of numerous government organizations in Nakfa also met with the elders of the town regarding development issues. The president was also briefed on the issues pertaining to roads, electric and water supply of the town. Pointing out that what has been achieved to date is very little compared to what remains to be done, president Isaias gave detailed instructions on development programs.

Asmara — Eritrean citizens residing in Cologne and Egypt commemorated Martyrs Day in patriotic spirit.

On the occasion, the head of the Eritrean Community in Cologne called for the nationals to take responsibility of assisting families of fallen heroes. On the occasion, 500 Euros were donated towards augmenting the Martyrs Trust Fund.

Also, in an event held at the Eritrean Embassy premises in Cairo, the Ambassador of Eritrea to The republic of Egypt, Amb. Osman Mohammed Omer pointed out that in line with the commitment to honor the trust of martyrs, the people and Government of Eritrea are taking concerted action towards building a prosperous and strong nation where social justice prevails. To this end, he called on Eritrean citizens in the Diaspora to enhance contribution to the national cause.

The participants, on their part that every Eritrean national is duty-bound to honor the trust of martyrs, and highlighted the need for enhancing support to families of martyrs.
