Freetown — German giant, Werder Bremen are the latest top European side to be linked with an interest in signing Sierra Leonean duo, Mohamed Poborsky Bangura and Ibrahim Tetteh Bangura.

According to Swedish newspaper, Expressen, Werder Bremen are monitoring the AIK Solna attackers and are ready to price the duo away from the Scandinavia league. Expressen reported that the club on the banks of the Weser is interested in the 21-years old attacking duo from Sierra Leone.

Also, Swedish portal “fotbolltransfers.com” reported that scouts from Bremen were in Sweden to take a closer look at the Sierra Leone internationals in AIK’s 2-0 win over Malmo FF with both strikers scoring one goal apiece and did put up a convincing performance.

To what extent a commitment on the part of the SV Werder is being considered seems an open question?

Bearing the same surname, the two attackers are not brothers but have often played together since their formation in Kallon FC, hence the nickname “Golden Twins”. However, they are both under contract with AIK until the end of 2013.

Quite recently, several top European clubs have been linked with the duo; it was reported in April that English Premier League giant, Chelsea are monitoring Mohamed Bangura, whilst several Russian clubs have also been linked with the player.

Another Premier League club, Newcastle United were recently linked with Ibrahim Bangura and it was romoured that the player’s agent, Patrick Mork, went to England before his recent journey to Sierra Leone.
