The estranged wife of the Depot Manager of the Bulk Oil Storage Transport (BOST), Mrs Hawa Musa Van-Gogh is accusing her husband of abusing power by allegedly arresting four men whom he claimed know her whereabouts.

Mrs. Van-Gogh has accused her husband of allegedly brutally beating up the four guys, throwing them into jail before allowing them to be bailed on Sunday after which he gave each of them GHC100 for medical care.

She claimed some officials at the Kpone Police Station allegedly connived with her husband to do that.

The 40-year-old Hawa Musa Van-Gogh was speaking in an interview with Adakabre Frimpong Manso on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem programme on Friday, over alleged maltreatments she has been receiving at the hands of her husband.

She said she left her maternal home because of her husband’s accusations that she had stolen Two billion old cedis, a statute god, a gold bar among other things.

She said her husband’s attitude had changed towards her in the past few months; he began treating her like a slave and allegedly plotted to kill her.

She said it all started when Mr. Van-Gogh first blamed her for stealing about 200,000,000 Cedis (Two billion old Cedis). He later accused her of stealing about 3,600 cedis (36 million old Cedis) from about 63,000 cedis (630 million old cedis) which he claimed to have kept in the house.

Mrs Van-Gogh said on May 27, 2011 her husband accused her of putting concoctions in his breakfast.

Hawah said she had been traumatized over the past 7 years by her husband’s behavior, which she claimed had forced her to into premature menopause.

Meanwhile Mr. Bagnaba Van-Gogh in a reaction to his wife’s allegations, said he still considers Hawa as his legal wife, but accused her of scheming against him.

Mr. Van Gogh said rhetorically that “I think she is a human being, but look at the physical appearance of the woman and then you will know the gentleman who she is trying to run down. I beg of you, the case is under investigations, I don’t want to do something that will lead to other issues. I think as family members there is another way out that we can both solve our domestic issues”, he told Adakabre Frimpong Manso.

He added that he is treating the issue as calmly as he can, for the sake of his wife and that of his little daughter.
