Oke who appeal to the kidnappers to “please spare an innocent old woman this trauma”, said he had waited for 40 anxious hours for the kidnappers to “at least let us know their motive”.

He expressed appreciation to Nigerians who have been calling to sympathise with him on the incident.

Oke said that his mind “would have been at rest by now if I know the condition of my mother. This is getting too nervous for the family to bear.”

According to him “no clue has also been found to unravel the characters behind the incident which took place under cover of darkness at the headquarters of the oil-producing Ilaje local council of Ondo State .

Police authorities in the state said that a team of detective had been put “together to trail the abductors and secure the release of the old woman.”
