Luanda — The vice president of the Republic of Angola, Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos, leaves Tuesday for N’Djamena, Chad, to attend the Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS), ANGOP has learnt.
According to a press note released by the Office of the Vice President of the Republic, Fernando da Piedade will represent the Head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos.
ECCAS was created in Libreville, Gabon in December 1981 and aims to promote cooperation and self-sustainable development, with particular emphasis on economic stability and improving the living quality of the populations.
The sub-regional body groups: Angola, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
