Shabelle Media Network (Mogadishu) 13 June 2011 Dolow — Some 1000 Somali soldiers, who were undergoing training in Ethiopia, have completed the course as the ceremony of the conclusion was held on Monday in Dolow. Speaking at the ceremony, Abdihakim Hajji Mohamoud Fiqi, Somalia's minister of defense, said that the soldiers are well-trained adding they are ready to take on Al shabaab fighters.

Mogadishu — The police forces of the interim federal government of Somalia on Monday apprehended a group of people after search operation in Mogadishu.

The apprehended people were charged with organizing Mogadishu rallies which are aimed at supporting Somalia’s popular Prime Minister Mohammed Abdullahi Mohammed Farmajo.

Abdulkadir Ibrahims Ga’al (Abkow) on of Mogadishu demonstrations organizers told the police captured at least 8 of his team.

He added that they also confiscated three cars mounted with big speakers intended to call upon the people to take part in the rallies.

The capture of Mogadishu rallies organizers comes as Somali president on Sunday disclosed government officials are funding the demonstrations.
