RMAFC boss urges EFCC, ICPC to probe NASS’ bogus pay

LAGOS – FOLLOWING recent revelation by the Chairman of Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission, RMAFC, Mr. Elias Mbam, that RMAFC  has no knowledge of the controversial jumbo pay for members of the National Assembly and other political appointees, Trade Union Congress of Nigeria, TUC, has challenged the RMAFC, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC and Independent Corrupt and Other Practices Commission, ICPC to probe to source of the funds.

The umbrella body for senior staff associations in the country, also called on RMAFC to also publish the constitutionally approved emoluments for the political office holders and prosecute those found to have taken more their entitlements.

TUC in a statement by its President-General and Secretary, Comrade Peter Esele and Chief John Kolawole, said “TUC is disturb over a recent revelation by the chairman of RMAFC, Mr. Elias Mbam, that his agency has no knowledge of the controversial jumbo pay for members of the National Assembly and other political appointees that ranks our democracy among the most expensive system of government in the world.”
