After the two-hour demonstration, Mr Gordon Gborgli, Leader of the group told the Ghana News Agency that the Municipality has been without a Chief Executive for the past six months, explaining that the stalemate was retarding progress.

He said infrastructural and economic developments had come to a standstill, while the 53 electoral areas were crying for development.

Mr Gborgli therefore, appealed to the 77 assembly members in the Municipality to vote massively for the President’s nominee whenever the time comes for his confirmation.
