Isaiah Esipisu 13 June 2011 Makueni County — After substituting her maize crop with cassava, Jemima Mueni has enough money to pay school fees for her children and enough food to last until the end of the year, despite the current drought. Huambo — At least 70 citizens from central highland Huambo province, who lost their vehicles whilst at the services of the State during the war, received them on Monday under the executive programme for the restitution of the destroyed cars.

The ceremony, chaired by the Angolan minister of Transport Augusto da Silva Tomás, also gathered the provincial governor Fernando Faustino Muteka, local government officials and guests.

The minister said that the replaced vehicles will increase the transportation capacity of goods from the current 500 to 1000 tonnes.
