The Daily Observer (Banjul) Bekai Njie 10 June 2011 The Forum for African Women Educationist (FAWEGAM) Gambia Chapter Thursday held its annual general meeting (AGM) at TANGO Conference Hall in Kanifing. FAWEGAM is a non-political organisation that has been in existence for the past 19 years and its aims among other things, are to bring together women educationists, policymakers and other prominent women with a view to create avenues to support girls and women to acquire education for a more better development. Speaking at the meeting, on behalf the minister of Basic and Secondary Education, Fatou Njie-Jallow; director of Human Resources at the said Ministry averred that it is always vital for one to reflect on successful milestones and know challenges encountered and to re-strategise to forge the way forward.

Dundo — The Angolan deputy attorney general, Manuel José Domingos, travelled this Monday to Lunda Norte province for a four-day working visit, aiming at being informed about the functioning of the judicial structures in the region.

The working programme states that Manuel José Domingos will meet the chairperson of Lunda Norte Court.

He will give sequence to his activities by meeting members of the consultative Council of the Home Affairs Ministry, the provincial Command of the Police and with workers of the local attorneyship, among others institutions.
