I am Omar Darboe, the Imam of Juffereh Village, Upper Niumi District, North Bank Region. You might not be much familiar with the name due to the long period that we have not seen each other. Anyway, we were one time together in Banjul in those days, when I was a Quranic teacher at St. George’s Primary School in Basse, and then you were a student at Gambia High School.
I hereby commend you for the manner in which you are leading this country. Mr. President this is the only way in which I can express my happiness and gratitude for the developments that are taking place in this country ranging from Health, Agriculture, Education, Infrastructural development and social services which are in line with Vision 2020 objectives. Mr. President I cannot go further without giving my heartfelt credit to you for your laudable achievements registered in busting myths surrounding HIV/AIDS and other diseases believed to be incurable.
Finally, I thank you for the concern you have for the youths of this country. I really appreciate with honour and pride your definitive NO to illicit drugs, corruption and injustice in your government.
May Allah the Almighty prolong your life and give you constant health.
