Committee to Protect Journalists (New York) 7 June 2011 press release New York — Central African Republic authorities have charged the director of the independent weekly The Hills of Bangui, Faustin Bambou, with inciting hatred and disorder among the military forces and insulting the government, Bambou told CPJ. The director was sent directly to Ngaragba Prison in the capital, Bangui. Four military policemen arrested Bambou at his office on May 27 and detained him at their Research and Investigations Department for 10 days before they presented him with any official charges, according to local journalists.

One Serign Mutala Sowe, a resident of Wellingara is urgently in need of an overseas treatment in Dakar, Senegal.

According to a medical report from the RVTH, the patient was presented to the Paediatric Neurology Clinic of the RVTH on 30th December, 2010 with a history of multiple bony swelling associated with ambulatory difficulties.

The report further indicated that on physical examination, the patient was shunted, short and web necked, with pectus carinatum. “His sclerotics were unremarkable. He had multiple bony exostolic lesions, especially affecting his lower limbs. He was otherwise systemically stable,” the report added.
