Shabelle Media Network (Mogadishu) 7 June 2011 Afgoye — Fighters loyal to al-Shabaab have seized some15 women in Afgoye district in Lower Shabelle region, 30 kilometers south of Mogadishu. The women were accused of taking part at a wedding party in the town of Afgoye with shouting and loud voice. All apprehended women were taken into custody as officials of Al shabaab said the women have publicly overjoyed and shout.

Mogadishu — Somali police warned soldiers and pro-government armed militiamen on Tuesday against carrying guns inside the districts of Dharkenley and Wadajir in Mogadishu.

In an interview with Shabelle Media Network, Col. Ahmed Mohamed Ali, the police chief Galbed police station said the soldiers and armed militiamen should not bother the civilians who live in those districts.

He said that they will not be endured any more if they continued the harmful activities against the dwellers in Mogadishu.

The police officer spelled out any soldier or anyone is seen killing the civilians intentionally will be brought to justice.

On Sunday morning, one of Somali government soldiers gunned down a woman in her home in the Somali capital Mogadishu.

Residents said that Kaho Hajji Mohamed was shot dead after she and another woman of her neighbor disputed.

The neighbor has called upon soldiers to interfere the issue but later it turned into shootout.

Locals confirmed to Shabelle that that she was killed in home while she was with her husband and children.

The soldier, who perpetrated the murder action, had escaped from scene soon after the slaying.
