High School Honors set for August 19

    The recent release of nominations for the first-ever High School Honors, an awards program that celebrates talent and excellent demeanor in Senior High Schools, has generated a lot of excitement among nominees and students from the various schools. The nominations were released just when finals year student had graduated and the main ceremony will be held at the National Theatre on August 19.

    The nominations cut across extracurricular activities such as music, dance, sports, etc. An independent selection committee spent weeks deliberating on who really makes the list and to make the nominations more student-involved, student spies went to various schools to look out for eligible nominees. . Achimota School and Pope John Senior High topped with 8 nominations each while St. Roses’ Girls School, Accra Academy and Aburi Girls’ School followed with 7 nominations each.

    According to Fountain House Media, organizers of the event, there will be a sizzling lineup of activities preceding the main event, including radio and television interviews, nominees’ party, school tours etc.
