THE South East Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP yesterday hailed the appointment of former Senate President Anyim Pius Anyim as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF.
In a statement signed yesterday by the National Vice Chairman, South East, Chief Olisa Metuh and made available to Journalists, the South East PDP commended President Goodluck Jonathan for the appointment, describing the new SGF as a detribalised Nigerian.
The statement read, ‘’on behalf the South East Zonal Working Committee and the esteemed members of the Peoples Democratic Party, I congratulate His Excellency, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan GCFR on the appointment of Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, GCON as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
‘’By appointing a competent, detribalised and dynamic person to the exalted office of the SGF, our dear President has clearly shown that it is not going to be business as usual and has also vindicated the trust and confidence reposed in him and our great Party by the good people of the South East Zone. God bless Nigeria.”
