Premier League side King Faisal are threatening legal action against the Ghana Football Association after their appeal to have the final league matches suspended was turned down.
Faisal want all disciplinary cases pending before the Ghana federation cleared to avoid any legal battle after the competition of the country’s top flight league.
The Kumasi-based side find themselves in the relegation dog-fight ahead of Sunday’s matches.
The rulings on cases pending will have dire consequences on the relegation battle.
”We wrote a letter to them on the subject and they turned it down saying the games will go on but we will resort to the law court if necessary to have our case heard,” King Faisal owner Alhaji Karim Grunzah said.
”The level of injustice in Ghana football is beyond reason and we believe it’s proper to have the games suspended to clear all the cases to allow for natural justice.”
The dynamics and statistics make it intriguing going into Sunday’s matches.
Mighty Jets are just a point above Faisal in the fight to see which side join BA Stars and Real Tamale United.
If the Appeals Committee overturns the verdict of the disciplinary committee on the case between Jets and AshantiGold, it will send the premier league debutants back to the second-tier league.
