CDE Regional Office Of West Africa: Operations Officer

The Regional representation of an International Institution based in Dakar, Senegal, wishes to have the position of Operations Officer filled by a citizen of one of the Regions countries (Benin, Burkina Faso, Cap Vert, Cote d’ Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Mauritanie, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone et Togo)

Key responsibilities:

• Under the supervision of the Manager of the Regional Field Office, the Operations Officer will be responsible for:
• Identifying, preparing and handling the projects and programmes in line with the Institution’s regulations
• Collecting pertinent information on other stakeholders active in the same field of activities in the region
• Providing assistance in the preparation of programmes and other development initiatives
• Executing other related duties as assigned by the Manager of the Regional Office

Required Skills or Experience

Mature and self-driven person of high integrity with:

• University Degree: Master’s in Banking, Economics, Finance, Business Administration or allied degrees
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience acquired in the Private sector (enterprise or consultancy firm) or International institution
• Proven experience with banking, project financing and/or enterprise development; in particular experience with SME
• Skills and experience in design, monitoring, evaluating and/or auditing of technical assistance project;
• Good IT skills (Internet, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Fluency in English (oral and written) is a requirement
• Good knowledge of French (oral and written) would be an advantage
• Good knowledge of the EC procedures of procurement would be an advantage
