Chelsea assistant coach, Michael Emenalo has counseled Eagles’ coach Samson Siasia to work hard and produce satisfactory results, otherwise impatient Nigerian fans would ask for his sack.

Emenalo and Siasia were teammates in the Eagles’ class of 1994. He stated that Siasia, having gone through the ranks of the Nigerian national teams knows what is expected of him and must have to work towards achieving success. Siasia is currently enjoying a lot of goodwill in his task to lead the Eagles back to winning ways, but Emenalo warned.

” Nigerians will not shout hosanna hosanna when the result is not forthcoming. They will shout unison crucify Siasia. They lack patience, which is important for success. With his stint with Nigerian teams, I can say he has known what is expected of him,” Emenalo said.

Emenalo was appointed Chelsea assistant coach last year by Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovic November 2010 and he is currently in charge of the team until a new coach is appointed by the club.

The former Eagles defender said that it was only God and Chelsea owner that know about his next destination with the club.

When asked about his views, Osaze Peter Odemwingie exploits in the Premier League, Emenalo advised the player to take his time and mature with West Brom.

“At present West Bromwich Albion is just a perfect start for Peter in the Premiership. For instance at a club like Chelsea, the pressure to deliver and compete with elite clubs is just too demanding for a player that is just arriving in the league.

“Perhaps with time, after garnering enough Premier League experience, he can now switch, but for now West Brom is okay for him.”
