The State Minister at the Council of Ministers, Ahmed Karameno Ahmed, has affirmed the state’s concern with organization of the immigration of the Sudanese citizens according to the necessary regulations. This came when the minister was addressing Tuesday a workshop on organization migration of the Sudanese and combating human trafficking held at Mamoun Behairy Hall.
He affirmed the concern of the Vice President of the Republic and Chairman of the Higher Council for Expatriates, Ali Osman Mohamed Taha, with the issues and recommendations of the conference. The Minister affirmed that the state is keen to cope with the international laws governing immigrationHe affirmed the concern of the government with the issues of the Sudanese expatriates in Libya, whose number is around 500,000 citizens, saying that the number of those returned home reached more than 60,000 with assistance from Egypt, Tunisia and other voluntary bodies.
Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the International Migration Organization in Sudan highlighted on the benefits of immigration in boosting development, through financial remittances and transfers, saying that the issue of human trade and trafficking is a serious problem facing the hosting countries. The Chairperson explained that immigration necessities strong laws and regulations, explaining that the Sudanese Center for Immigration and Population Studies can manage the issue of Immigration in a good way. She also revealed that her organization will contribute to transporting 15,500 Sudanese expatriates from Libya to Sudan.
