Luanda — The Cabinet Council analysed on Wednesday in Luanda a set of presidential decrees on the adjustment of the civil servants’ salaries as from July 2011.

According to a press note released Angop on Wednesday, the initiative is based on the positive differentiation principle according to which those with lower salaries benefit from a more substantial increase.

However, an increasing of 40 percent will be designed to assistants, clerks, type writers and candidates to administrative careers, 20 percent for high school staff and five percent for administrative servants and clerks.

Under the measure, the minimum salary will have an increase of 15 percent.

The initiative also includes the former combatants, war disables people and relatives of late combatants.
