Muhimbili and Victoria primary schools resumed their title hunt in the boys’ group A of the Tanzania Cricket Association (TCA) Primary Schools League with wins over their opponents in matches played at the University of Dar es Salaam venue on Saturday.

TCA has organised the league, which has attracted 34 teams in boys and girls categories, with a view to grooming talents that could feature in junior national teams of different age categories.

Victoria laboured to beat Mkwawa B by one wicket in the group A’s first match played early in the morning, before Muhimbili cruised to a 14-run victory over Yusuph Makamba shortly thereafter.

Victoria won the toss and opted to field, but Mkwawa B failed to make full use of their chance to bat first as they managed a paltry 56 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 15 overs.
