Adobha — The inhabitants of Adobha sub-zone expressed satisfaction for getting relieved from pastoral way of life and leading settled lifestyle through benefiting from various social services.

The head of economic development in the sub-zone, Mr. Idris Ali Mohammed, explained that the villages of Elababu, Adobha-Niush, Gama’e and Kedhat have been regrouped in one community, besides becoming beneficiaries of various social services, including education, potable water supply and health.

Noting that the villages of Deret and Elababu that were regrouped in the wake of the achievement of Independence have now been transformed into semi-urban centers, he indicated that water reservoirs are being constructed in the villages of Elababu, Ararib and Gama’e. Study is also underway to install mobile phone service and identify ancient and historical sites in the sub-zone, Mr. Idris added.

Reports indicated that popular campaign is being undertaken to renovate the Nacfa-Adobha road.
