The board’s optimism comes on the back of the recent release of its 2010/2011 crop season production figures.
COCOBOD describes the figures as the highest since the country registered its name on the international market as a producer of cocoa.
Public Affairs Manager at COCOBOD, Noah Amenyo, told Joy Business it could even go beyond the one million target before the 2012/2013 season.
He added that the record output could increase the earnings for farmers at the end of the crop season in terms of bonuses.
