Mogadishu — Fighters loyal to Al shabaab movement on Tuesday morning assaulted a military base manned by Raskamboni fighters in Lower Jubba region in southern Somalia.
Reports emanating from suggested the fighting was very heavy as crackling machine gunfire and artillery barrages could be heard throughout the areas the combat took place.
In the duration of battle, at least 4 people were killed and dozens more injured. All killed or wounded were from the combatants of warring sides.
No comments about the battles and casualties were immediately available from Al shabaab and Raskamboni fighters so far.
