Luanda — The Standing Committee of the opposition UNITA partyis meeting since Friday morning with a view to outline the electoral strategy, ahead of the country’s 2012 general elections.
The 10th ordinary session is being presided over by the party’s president, Isaías Samakuva, who briefly analysed the political and social situation of the country.
Taking into account the current situation, Samakuva also spoke of the need to adopt a new strategy of performance that will be presented in the coming Congress of the political organisation, scheduled for this year.
The one-day session of Standing Committee of Unita, which takes place in Viana district, Luanda, is integrated by 75 members.
The event will discuss and approve report and recommendations of the executive secretary of this organ.
