Garowe — The president of Somalia’s semi-autonomous state of Puntland on Thursday said the government of Somalia should live up its promises and commitments to the Puntland region.
Abdurrahmed Sheikh Mohamoud Farole, the leader of Puntland state told The BBC Somali Service that the government is not needed to extend its own tenures unilaterally.
Farole accused the transitional government of not fulfilling its commitments when it had been formed in Djibouti.
Not living up what has been mandated is a part of government failure, the president added.
He urged the TFG to act quickly to help the internally displaced people in the country, particularly in Mogadishu.
