Media Minister Works in Malanje

30 May 2011 Abuja — The Speaker of the Angolan National Assembly has left Abuja, Nigeria, where he attended on Sunday the swearing-in ceremony of President Goodluck Eble Jonathan. Paulo Kassoma, who arrived Saturday in Nigeria, attended the referred ceremony in representation of the Angolan Head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos.

Luanda — The Minister of Social Communication, Carolina Cerqueira, is travelling on Monday morning to the northern Malanje province by train, in the ambit of the continuation of the public discussion of the legislative package on media.

Angop learnt that the delegation is comprised by the MP Paula Simons, executive administrators of the public media companies and senior employees of the sector, who will participate in the discussion on Tuesday.

Representatives of the provinces of Kwanza Norte, Uíge and Zaire will be part of the meeting.

With the same purpose, the minister has already been in the northern Cabinda province, where she presided over the opening act of the public discussion of the Legislative Package on Media.
