ASABA— THE governorship candidate of Peoples Progressive Party PPP, in the April 26, governorship poll in Delta State, Prince Obaro Unuafe, has asked the 3-man Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Asaba to allow   forensic and biometric analysis to be conducted on some of the result forms, which were declared  during the election.

He is contending in his petition, challenging the outcome of the election, that “the unit results Forms EC8A, EC8B, EC8C and EC8D in possession of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC,  were not written by the designated Presiding Officers, Ward Returning Officers and the Returning Officers at the local government areas  but a few writers.”

He had also given notice to INEC  to produce the said forms at the hearing of the petition, as himself and PPP “will before or at the trial of the petition  move the tribunal for an order for forensic and biometric analysis to be conducted on the said result forms.”

Obaro is also urging the tribunal to declare “an order that the election is invalid for reasons of non compliance with the Electoral Act 2011; an order that the election is invalid for reason of corrupt practices”.
