Benguela — The literary work entitlted “As Gingas na minha retina” by the singer Gercy Pegado was presented to the public last Sunday, in the central Benguela Province, in the ambit of the commemorations of Benguela city’s 394th foundation anniversary, marked on May 17.
Gercy Pegado said on the occasion that the 121-page book is a combination of chronicles, accounts of trips and events involving her music band, the Gingas do Maculusso.
She assured she is very committed to promoting this project, which is also aimed at being an incentive for reading.
The author explained that after Benguela, she will also organise similar public presentation and sale of her book in the provinces of Cabinda, Malanje and Huíla.
This is the first book by Gercy Pegado, who intends to release other literary works.
