Ghana’s first choice goalkeeper Richard Kingson believes his spell at relegated Blackpool was timely, in terms of proving his critics wrong that he is fit for the Premier League.
The keeper acknowledged that the Seasiders have helped him to raise his game, after taking over between the sticks from Matthew Gilks and keeping his starting place.
“I had a great time at Blackpool and I think in the end I proved to those who had doubts that I am good for that level,” the 32-year-old told KickOffGhana.
“It is just a shame that the club went down because it is a very good club, one that will remain very special to me.”
