Mogadishu — The administration of Somali government in Gedo region in Southern Somalia on Friday called for the fighters of Al shabaab in the region to cease fire.
Speaking to Shabelle Media Network, Mohammed Abdi Kalil, the governor of Gedo region said that Al shabaab fighters to stop violence and take peace.
Mr. Kalil noted that Somali government is committed to peace but it will fight against any one against peace.
Asked about the existence of differences in Somali government officials in the region, the governor rejected the allegations, describing them as baseless and groundless.
