Acting Governor of Red Sea State Affirms Strength of Relations With Central Africa Republic

    Port Sudan — Acting Governor of the Red Sea State, Salah Siral-Khatim Kunnah, affirmed that the relations linking Sudan and Central Africa Republic are firm and strong, highlighting the common interests of the peoples of the two friendly States. This came when the Acting Governor of Red Sea State received at his office Wednesday the Minister of State for Transport and Civil Aviation of the Central Africa Republic, Mr.Parafait Anicet Mbaye, who is currently on a visit to Red Sea State to get acquainted with capabilities of Sudan with regard to the Sea transport in order to serve his country’s foreign trade through the Sudanese ports.

    The meeting touched on means of boosting the economic cooperation between the two countries, in presence of Minister of economic Affairs and Investment in the State, Osman Mohammed Ahmed, and number of senior officials at the Sea Ports Corporation. Meanwhile, Director of Research and Planning Department at the Sea Ports Corporation, Kamal Manour, affirmed during the meeting the readiness of the corporation to receive the import/export movement of Central Africa Republic. Meanwhile, the Minister of State for Transport and Civil Aviation of the Central Africa Republic, Mr.Parafait Anicet Mbaye, commended the current development of the bilateral relations between Sudan and his country, particularly the trade relations, stressing the necessity of working seriously to link the two countries via railways and roads in order to realize the common interests. It is to be noted that the Minister of State for Transport and Civil Aviation of the Central Africa Republic visited the Northern, the Southern and the Green Port as well as Saloum port at the end of his visit to the State.
