According to Sonangol CEO, the 73 plants are expected to produce agricultural, poultry and foodstuffs, clothing and footwear, hygiene goods, irrigation equipment, power transmission pylons, telecommunication items, optical fibre, electric material, plastics, construction materials and hardware and many other items.
However, the official admitted constraints that have to be dealt with within the ZEE, like regular supply of electricity, qualified manpower and adequate technological partnership.
Sonangol participated in the ZEE project under direction of the head of Sate, José Eduardo dos Santos, in the definition of strategies for the implementation and provision of qualified manpower, technical, material, financial support and others.
