Wolves striker Steven Fletcher believes that his side can stay in the Premier League after they secured a vital derby win over rivals West Brom to get them out of the relegation zone.

The Molineux frontman spoke to Sky Sports after the final whistle about the result, saying: “It’s an unbelievable result for us, it’s a big derby and we needed the points badly and we got them, so we’re delighted.”

He then spoke about the result coming at the right time for Wolves, with it being so close to the end of the season, saying: “We’re getting goals; we’re getting wins, so hopefully we can get the points to stay up.”

After Fletcher had put away the third, Wolves looked shaky and were lucky not to give away more than a Peter Odemwingie penalty, to which Fletcher claimed: “We wanted to keep what we had done in the first half, when we got the early goal in the second half we were absolutely delighted, we were under the cosh in the end a little bit but we got the result.”

And finally, the Scottish striker complimented the sides that helped Wolves on Saturday, by defeating their rivals, saying: “It’s unbelievable, some teams have done well, so we just had to do our job today and we’ve done it.”
