Fulham midfielder Steve Sidwell is aiming his club to finish in the top half of the table this season.
After securing a 3-0 victory at Sunderland on Saturday Saturday, Mark Hughes’s side sit comfortably in ninth place on 45 points.
The 28-year-old hopes the momentum gained from two consecutive three-goal victories can carry his team through the remaining three tough fixtures.
“It’s been a good week for us, with this the second 3-0 victory in four days,” he told Fulham’s official website.
“We all want to finish the season as strong as possible and these results have gone a long way in making sure that happens.
“Back-to-back wins will do much for our momentum and hopefully we can keep that going. We all know how vital that can be.
“We’ve been working hard as we always do and with three games left we’re in sight now. A top ten finish is certainly achievable.”
Fulham were the better finishers Saturday at the Stadium of Light, but the midfielder thinks they perhaps weren’t the best side on display, at least in the first half.
“Today wasn’t the best we have played this season but at the end of the day it’s the three points that count,” he continued.
“And it goes without saying that they were three very important ones for us.
“We struggled a little in the first-half but we kept going and we got our rewards. Gael and Simon took their goals very well and that was perhaps the big difference.”
