Coach Austin Eguaveon And His Under 23 team are in no mood for pleasantries as they clash with their Liberian counterparts in the All Africa Games qualifiers billed for the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City on Saturday.

The first leg ended 1-1 in Monrovia and at the end of the encounter the Nigeria contingent wore long faces because of the shoddy hospitality handed to them by their hosts. But the Eguaveon and his assistance Ben Iroha said last week that they would take no notice of that poor treatment, rather the team will aim at thrashing the Liberians.

The players returned straight to camp after the Liberia trip and they all are united in their resolve to win game to honor fallen Beijing 2008 hero Adefemi Olubayo who was laid to rest yesterday in Lagos.

“We went through a horrible time in Monrovia but we picked a point. But the entire team have put that behind, what we are want is total victory and means lots of goals.

“If for nothing, we will be playing for our fallen colleague, Olubayo Adefemi and we are going to win for him,” said team captain Kingsley Udoh.

The Dream Team who are facing Tanzania in the next round of the Olympic Qualifiers scored ten goals against 11 goals in the last games. They beat Equatorial Guinea with an aggregate of 10 goals, while they put one behind the Liberian net in Moronvia.
