Awka – Former Anambra governor and senator-elect Chris Ngige of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) has reaffirmed his determination to fulfill his electoral promises to the people of Anambra Central.

Ngige, who said this in  Awka on Friday, assured the electorate of quality representation.

“I will do beyond my promises to see that good things come to Anambra people.

“Anambra Central and the entire state will be my number priority,” he said.

According to him, he will be a crusader against those electoral laws that inhibit young political aspirants from making it or even joining the political race.

“If anyone nurses the desire to serve his nation or state in any capacity, he should be given a fair playing ground.

“If I could suffer high electoral and political injustices, I then imagine what these young political aspirants pass through,” Ngige noted.

The senator-elect expressed displeasure over what he called the increasing hardship in the country, which, he said, could be reduced to the barest minimum through proper planning.

He added that the country had abundant resources to take care of the elderly, children and the youth, pointing out free education to university level was possible in the country.

Ngige regretted lack of good governance and strategic planning had been the bane of the country, saying that transparency would be his watch word as he would give greater attention to the problems of the district.

The former governor said he bore no grudge against anyone and called on all his other contestants to join him to move the district to greater heights. ( NAN )
