Camel Screens Swedru Residents
Camel Antiseptic, a leading brand of PZ Cussons Ghana, in partnership with Ghana Medical Association (GMA), has organized a free health screening exercise for the people Agona Swedru in the Central Region.
The exercise also provided an opportunity for the two partners to educate residents on the need to protect themselves against germs through the use Camel range of products and how to ensure quality preventive health care methods.
The Brands Manager Surface Care of PZ Cussons Ghana, Gladys Azure said, “The programme serves as a platform for dialogue between Camel Antiseptics and consumers to educate and give back to the community by offering free medical services to these communities.
According to the Brands Manager, people in other communities had been screened as part of the exercise which started in June, this year.
Communities visited so far include Dansoman, Darkuman, Burma Camp, all in Greater Accra region; Gomoa Adzemten in the Central region and Aburi in the Eastern region.
Mrs. Gladys Azure further stated that “the collaboration between Camel Antiseptics and GMA is aimed at reaching out to various deprived communities and institutions by educating them on preventive health care and other diseases that are of prime concern.”
Educating residents on how to prevent communicable diseases such as cholera, typhoid and diarrhea, Dr. Paul Dsane-Aidoo, a member of GMA stated that “we need to keep our environments clean and wash our hands after visiting the wash room.”
Dr. Dsane-Aidoo further advised them not to delay in going to the hospital whenever they suffer diarrhea in order to prevent further complications.
He added that “the collaboration between Camel Antiseptic and GMA is to help bring public health care services to the doorsteps of deprived communities across the country.”
Prior to the main event, officials from Camel, Zoomlion, National Sanitation Task Force, students from second cycle institutions and the general public participated in a clean-up exercise at Swedru.
The Camel Antiseptics has been adjudged by the Ghana Medical Association as the best antiseptic that provides maximum protection against germs.
