OM host Evian for a sixth victory

The leader Marseille will host Evian TG on Sunday at the Stade Vélodrome, in the sixth week of the Ligue 1 (kick off at 17h00 CAT).
With fifteen points out of a possible fifteen, Olympique Marseille have managed the best start to a season of their history.
Still unbeaten in an official match this season, Elie Baup’s players put on an excellent performance on Thursday evening away against Fenerbahçe in the Europa League. The Turks were up 2-0 at first, but the French finally managed a draw in the final moments of the game, thanks to André Ayew’s header.
And now they are counting on the positive state of mind and strength of character they have shown match after match to continue their fine form.
“Such a match can only bring positive things; we celebrated in the end as if we had won. Everyone on the bench jumped up, everyone is involved. This is what we lacked last year, but we have it this year. There is quality in this team and if we have the state of mind to go with it, it can only lead to good things,” stated Marseille midfielder Mathieu Valbuena at the end of the Europa League match.
Senegalese defender Leyti N’Diaye was injured against Fenerbahçe and will thus be absent from the group for this clash.
With new coach Pascal Dupraz, Evian managed their first win of the season last weekend against Bastia and are hoping to bring back at least a point from the Stade Vélodrome to continue in a positive vein and distance themselves a little further from the red zone.
Ivoirian midfielder Eric Tié Bi and strikers Hervé Bugnet and Ali M’madi are injured and will not make the trip south to Marseille.
